We Have the Answers!
How far ahead do we have to book, or are there openings on XX day?
Please check the available sessions on the Training Centre page, but we suggest booking several days in advance. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to book all appointments, but 48 hours is best to ensure your order will be processed and scheduled in time
What if we can't make our scheduled session?
Cancellations are permitted up to 48 hours in advance, any cancellation with less than 48 hours notice is charged at full cost
How often should I attend training to continue development?
We have found the majority of serious goaltenders who visit us, attend about once every 7 to 10 days. Any longer between sessions and there is no progression as we have to re-teach the same things
Are there any age restrictions for one on one sessions?
We have seen students as old as 61 and have no maximum age, but the minimum age for private sessions is 8 years old. There are a variety of reasons that 8 is our minimum, but over 20 years of experience has proven that this is the minimum age before anyone should look to begin intense personal goaltender specific training. If your child is under 8, we recommend the Fundamentals program as a great starting point.
Should I book 1 hour, 45 minute or 30 minute sessions?
Aside from the initial 1 hour evaluation session, we base this decision on the goaltenders maturity and physical conditioning. Please ask this question during your evaluation and we will better be able to answer this question once we have worked with the student.
Is there an expiry date on Prepaid Training Session packages?
All pre-paid sessions are valid for 18 months - They are not transferable.
Do I wear skates and gear?
Yes, our students are required to wear full equipment and skates for all sessions.
Will the plastic ice dull or do damage to my skates?
We use the highest grade of plastic ice on the market, the same material full arenas are made of! It will not to any damage to your skate blades, although you may need to sharpen them a little bit more often
Can my coach or family come and watch?
Sorry but we do not allow spectators in general - we do understand parents and siblings may come along and watch, however we STRONGLY suggest only 1 person be present during your session
Where do I change - can I shower?
We have a private change area, just follow the directions to the Training Centre and everything is there, unfortunately a shower is not available.
Can I bring a friend to help shoot?
epending on the situation, friends are welcome to come for the 'warm up' but may or may not be permitted to help during the actual training, for some drills having 2 shooters is helpful. Please also consider that having a friend in attendance may also be a distracting the training.
Is the school sold out?
Please check the individual program you are interested in, if it is sold out it will be noted at the top of each location's information
How much is the school?
This information is noted for each individual program, found on the programs page
I see you have ages listed for each school, my child is younger than the recommended age, can he/she still attend the higher level school?
We will make this determination based on an individual basis, but the recommended ages are there to help you make the right choice in program, so your child will get the most from it.
Should I sign up for Essentials, Intensity Prep or High Intensity?
This is always a personal choice, but we encourage our students and their parents to make this decision for the right reasons and by being as honest with yourself as possible. If you haven't been to a week long goalie (anywhere) school before, you should take the Essentials, regardless of your level of play. If you are prepared to work harder than you have ever worked before and be pushed to a level, both physically and mentally, beyond your comfort level, then sign up for the Intensity program.

Who are your billeting families?
Most are local families who billet for junior hockey on a regular basis, occasionally our own instructors also billet. All are 'checked out' and must adhere to a specific code of conduct to qualify as billets for our school.
Can I sign up for one program and then switch (up or down) to another if I want?
This can be arranged, however our programs are usually sold out, so this may not be possible. There are also no refunds for any reason once a program has begun, even if moving 'down' to a lesser program.
