"How to Coach & Properly Train Goaltenders"

Puckstoppers Goaltending Services has been involved with minor hockey since 1988, but we feel the need to become much more involved. We wanted to give something back to the coaches and kids so we developed this program to do just that.

We’d like to offer your minor hockey association a FREE Coaches Clinic to help them better understand how to properly coach and train goaltenders, the most ignored players in all of sports! We know coaches don't intentionally ignore the goaltenders, in most cases they simply don't know what to do with them. We want to change that!!

Currently there is no national certification program for coaches that include any meaningful (in our opinion) goaltending instruction. While we’ve tried to get the governing bodies to recognize the importance of this and develop a standard, they have shown little interest.

Even when we explain that many European hockey powers have recognized this need and have created national certification programs, implemented 'traveling'' coaches to help at all levels as well as setting expected standards in relation to the instruction of goaltenders, they still resist. This is why European goaltenders are improving so quickly. The kids really want the help but most coaches simply don't know how to properly work with their goalies.

To help develop a program, we're offering to do our part and provide any interested Association with a free clinic for their coaches. We’ll take 2 hours of classroom time and even add an additional hour of on ice instruction (your ice time), for a total of 3 hours of world class instruction.

Chris Dyson, President of Puckstoppers Canada is internationally recognized as an expert in the field of goaltending, he is also a professional speaker with years of experience. Chris will personally conduct your seminar and answer any questions, provide numerous handouts and go over all the basics of coaching the goaltending position. Puckstoppers will even provide a FREE embroidered jacket patch for all who attend and a certificate of completion.

Now of course, about now, you're asking yourself, "what's the catch"? Well it's pretty minimal. In exchange for the clinic we’d like a small ad in your newsletter with a short write up announcing that we presented the program to your coaches and it's results within the organization as well as a link from your Association's website, to ours. That's all, there are no hidden costs whatsoever!

That is all we require, in exchange for our FREE seminar with an internationally recognized authority on goaltending. Chris would normally charge several hundred dollars for this type of training, but he's willing to present the entire 3 to 4 HOUR seminar, including on ice training, at NO COST to your Association! There is a nominal $5 per participant cost, this is only to cover our printed handout costs. The seminar is FREE, we are only charging for the materials we provide to your participants.
