World Renowned Goaltending Schools >
Parent
Seminar
The Parents & Student Information
Seminar and on ice training session affords parents the opportunity to
further understand the position, mental and physical requirements of being
a goaltender.
Parents have suggested to us that they would like to be more involved
and receive some training themselves, now we'll offer it to those who
are interested. This is a unique concept and something we developed over
a period of more than 2 years.
In it's first year of
presentation (2005) we expected about 10 to 15 participants. We were more than a bit overwhelmed when more than 160 people
arrived! This made it more than clear that there was a huge demand for
this kind of information seminar and that parents really wanted to learn
more about the position of goaltending and to help their children in their
young 'careers'.
We have continually improved
and modified our presentation to include digital media (Dartfish) and
varied presenters. We will continue to strive to make this program unique,
interesting and beneficial to the parents of all goaltenders.
We'll spend time about 2 hours in an informal classroom setting and go over the finer points of the goaltending
position. Plus we'll discuss how parents can influence their children's
play in a positive manner with a very slight change to their routines
and attitudes.
This program will prove to be
invaluable in developing young goalies, starting with their home life.
This program is strongly recommended for both students and parents who
want to learn more about the position.

Puckstoppers uses world famous Dartfish
Video playback technology in our teaching. Dartfish is internationally
recognized as being the best video tool available and is used extensively
by pro teams in the NHL, NBA, NASCAR, NFL, Olympics and most other
professional sports. NBC uses the exact same Dartfish program that we use
for network coverage.
We are
the ONLY Goaltending School in the world using this advanced technology!
