Training Centre
Since 1988, our annual goaltending schools have been a cornerstone of goalie development, making us one of the longest-running programs in the world. Over the past 36 years, we have had the privilege of working with more than 5,000 goaltenders, helping them refine their skills, build confidence, and achieve new levels of performance.
After much consideration, we made the difficult decision to discontinue our on-ice goaltending schools in 2025, and in 2026 we closed our year-round Goalie Training Centre.
In 2019, I had initially planned to step away from running our schools, but the unwavering support from our goalies, parents, and my family convinced me to continue. For over 20 years, our schools have been fully booked every season, and we are incredibly proud of the legacy we have built and the impact we have had on thousands of aspiring goaltenders.
To our incredible students, parents, and dedicated instructors—thank you. Your passion, hard work, and trust in our program have made this journey extraordinary. While our on-ice schools are ending, our mission to develop goaltenders is far from over.

Puckstoppers Goaltending Development
Batters have a batting cage, golfers have the driving range, but where can a hockey goalie go? In practice a goaltender will face 20 to 30 shots in warm up and then maybe another 25 in a scrimmage. Most of these shots are blasted at the net with no thought for the goalie or his/her well being. Our Year Round Goaltender Training Centre is a personalized, intimate environment where you can learn at your own pace with the assistance of an expert instructor.
Over 1500 square feet of shooting space, including our Boni puckshooting machine, a regulation net, posters and diagrams to aid in the finer points of teaching, and much more!
The highest quality Viking Ice synthetic ice surface available (plays like the real thing). This area also includes boards and glass to simulate the real thing! Students wear full gear including skates for the best practice possible.
Private change room, lots of parking, and easy access to our facility. We offer flexible appointment options and our location also features a warmup and excercise area including a slideboard, treadclimber and more.
Our personal training centre is open year round. Whether you’re in need of some winter fine tuning or summer pre-camp rust elimination, we are always available!
Goaltending is the most difficult position in all of sports! It is also the most ignored, overlooked and misunderstood, in regards to training and development of skills. Most coaches do not have the training, knowledge or ice time to develop and work one on one with their goaltender. Most often the goaltender becomes a target for other players during practice. We do not blame the coaches. They are responsible for developing and overseeing an entire team, focusing on one player is an almost impossible task.
The best possible way to properly train goaltending skills and build confidence is in full equipment with real pucks in a game type situation, one on one. We offer that one on one 'real training' at our year round Training Centre. Our programs are custom designed to meet the needs and requirements of each individual.
